I think that it really sucks for the teammates, but everyone else will be just fine. I will say that I feel bad for her teammates, because they could have won the gold medal, and maybe there is someone on that team that it would have been her only gold medal in her life. Its one stupid event at an Olympics that will give out hundreds of medals, and the US will likely dominate the medals table. I'm also not going to say something stupid and define her as a "quitter" or call her a "selfish sociopath" or say that she let down the country. I fully admit I do not have all the information.īut for that reason, that I don't and can't possibly know everything that's going on, I am not going to go out of my way to applaud what she did.
